A couple of days ago, we told you how David Jaffe, the designer of the original God of War title, was going nuts over how great God of War III looked. He actually said "HOLY HOLY HOLY F**KING HELL!!!!" We didn't think much about it, honestly. We simply said that "the hype-train pulling into town," and then went about our buisness.

After Jaffe's quote "...looks like a painting come to life" dropped, the folks on NeoGAF began bracing for the worst, as they all knew for sure that sh*t was about ot hit the forum's fan. Forum user EmCeeGramr said it best:

this thread is going to look like a painting: the scream

Oh, how I laughed. Heartily. The NeoGAF guys barely got started, though. After about 100 posts in, David Jaffe pops in to respond to respond to comments on his original post as well as on some personal attacks. His response wasn't very professional, but it was still great.

• More “technical innovations” to come…

These are pretty small leaks. This is an unconfirmed source, but this is stuff we largely suspected already. An Uncharted sequel was highly likely and there is generally always some kind of price cut and technical innovations coming in the future.

The God of War 3 bit is more than a rumor. David Jaffe, the outspoken director behind the first in the series, has said that the game was shown internally and is looking amazing. That dev team is notorious for having large teams of highly talented art staff, so amazing visuals aren’t surprising.

With sequels to Uncharted and God of War, I’m more interested to hear how they are evolving the gameplay. I’ve loved both series so far, but I would like to see them move away from stricly linear game progression.

Animal Boxing will be great if it features a shark and a dolphin. I ain't interested otherwise.

David Jaffe is an excitable man, and when The Jaffe gets excited, he gets REALLY F***ING EXCITED!! The latest subject to get the caps, swears and exclamation point treatment is God of War III. In a recent post on his personal blog, the God Of War I director shares his thoughts about the game’s visuals. In his own special way, of course.

As God of War III is still the subject of an NDA, Jaffe couldn’t give away proper details. There are, however, two things he does feel comfortable sharing. He even arranges them in a nice ordered list for us. They are:

“a- HOLY HOLY HOLY FUCKING HELL!!!!

b- I thought GEARS OF WARS 2 looked about as good as a next-gen game could look….and that game is currently- and will probably remain- my game of the year. And hell, I think I actually get to vote on that kind of stuff in some circles :) And unless I get blown away by POP or something else I missed, GEARS 2 is the SHIT….this year. Dudes and dudettes, fucking WAIT till you see the amazing graphics…just fucking wait.”

Mr Jaffe doesn’t finish there though. He also has the following words for those that may put his enthusiasm down to being a Sony fanboy.

“#1- I just said GEARS 2 is the BEST fucking playing and looking game of the year….better than any PS3 game. And there are some damn good PS3 games, I feel.

#2- FUCK YOU! I ain’t no fan boy but this mother fucking game looks like nothing you’ve ever played…and you can hold me to that when this thing hits and when they start showing gameplay footage. It looks like a painting come to life- it’s THAT good looking.”

So there you go. David Jaffe + God Of War III + Caps Lock = A whole ton of excitable swearing! Just don’t call him a fanboy.

• The PS3 will see a price cut in Europe around March of next year.
• The PSN has generated £150 million in 2008, will receive more investment and is considered a success.
• LittleBigPlanet and MotorStorm are coming to PSP.
• Uncharted 2 looks like Uncharted, which isn't a bad thing.
• God of War 3 was "masterfully shown at the end" and looks really good. (A similar claim made by former GoW honcho David Jaffe.)
