It also has a way excellent visualizer for your music!

This plugin works with most homebrew out there, spicing them up with some psychedelic effects that'll definitely give you PSP gaming a new kick.

This plugin's been brewing for months now and a lot of people finally got to get their hands on it when it was officially released yesterday, containing the following effects:
  • Contrast Boost that mimics PSP-3000's improved contrast via Software.
  • Brightness Boost with variable adjustment
  • Physically Flipped XMB with natural keymapping (PSP 1000 Feels lighter than it is, if held this way )
  • SUPER Stylish Music Visualizer (for Bars Visualization)
  • Warm Tones, Cool Tones, Red tones...
  • Colour Filters (5 )
  • Inverted Colors
  • Mirror effects (2)
  • Oil Paint effect
  • Everything else you could think of...
Mr305 promises that we can be "surprised" when we see another update to the app, and frankly we can't wait to see more of it. Remember now, you'll need CFW 5.00 M33-3 for this. This update provides a "possible performance improvement." Here's the changelog:
  • Increased Main thead Poll delay from 10 to 5000. (Possible performance improvement)
  • Removed remaining references to security checks.

It should be noted that special attention was put into performance. Mr305 claims that most effects, including the flipped XMB, will still run at a full 60 FPS with a memory footprint close to zero.

To run TweakDISPLY, you'll need CFW 5.00 M33-3 and either a PSP1000 or a PSP 2000.

The features are as follows:

Commence with the spending frenzy! Black Friday's door-busting sales and no-holds-barred consumer fistfights initiate holiday shopping today, and that means the annual limited-edition Nintendo swag is now being clawed from store shelves. As many of you know, this year is no slouch with two new DS Lite colors, one of which is a phenomenal Mario-red. No cause for alarm; some foaming at the mouth is to be expected. Almost harder to believe is DS Fanboy's current giveaway where one lucky reader will take it home free. The rest of us can bag it at Amazon.com while supplies last.

ANYWAYS. We still have a gallery this week amidst all of the excitement. It started out as a series of photographs capturing every possible angle of the aforementioned DS Lite, but that didn't quite work. Instead, being so stuffed with Thanksgiving turkey and delicious pumpkin pie, we couldn't help thinking about what comprises Mario's diet. The short answer? Mushrooms. Lots of them. Seriously, what is it about fungus? Chomp down on our new gallery in which you'll taste a smorgasbord of 'shroom varieties Mario has consumed throughout his career. Yum.
It's-a Mario World is a weekly feature in which the ubiquity of Nintendo's flagship character is celebrated: We'll incessantly ruminate about mustache wax, debate the curious whereabouts of the princess and covet the luminous power stars strewn about the galaxy. Let's put aside any complaints or upsets any of us might have with Age of Conan and take that moment to appreciate the amazingness of this new mount being added to the game. This mount is the kind of thing that, when rolling up on a friend (or enemy), a person wants to possess. If you're at all into the business of looking like a person nobody would want to mess with, than this is a must-own accessory. The hot news on gaming sites this morning is that Nintendo of Europe has ditched the traditional red Nintendo logo for a grey one — and that the company did this years ago.

Maybe this is just in Europe? And, by the way, how did Europe’s reporters miss this?

Don’t feel so bad, my European friends. I was blindsided by this same news just a couple of a weeks ago. I learned that this secret logo revolution occurred in the U.S. years ago as well. I found this out a couple of weeks ago while chatting with Nintendo of America executive vice president of sales and marketing Cammie Dunaway before starting our formal interview. I was poking fun about her briefing sheet about me including a big MTV logo. Why’d she print that out? That banter about logos somehow got us looking at Nintendo’s logo which — wouldn’t you know it — was gray. Maybe we were looking at a press kit or her business card or something. I can’t recall.

Wait, I asked her, isn’t this logo usually red?

Not recently, she replied. It’s been gray in America for a couple of years.

Why? Well, now I wish I had been taking notes about this. I didn’t know this was going to be important. But from what I can recall she said it was about letting Nintendo’s products shine and be prominent more than the company logo. But, really, I can’t remember too much about this, because who remembers the substance of chitchat about logo colors? I do remember pointing out that MTV’s logo color changes all the time. That’s just what we do.

I also remember confrming with her that the logo is referred to, internally, as the “racetrack logo.” Because it has that line around it, you know? At least they didn’t change that.

How I — and all the gaming reporters in Europe — missed the Great Nintendo Logo Color Change happening “years ago” is beyond me. I’ll pay more attention next time

Another day, another Wii milestone. Enterbrain reports that the Wii has sold 7 million units in Japan. Kotaku took the opportunity to do some mathematicalz and noticed that sales have slowed down since the last million mark. Typically a sign that Nintendo might conjure up new hardware or pretty colors to reinvigorate consumers.

Not that slowing sales mean much when the Wii retail engine is fed by high-octane jet fuel (and sacrificed kittens). Supplies of Wii are still expected to be tight during the holiday season, with GameStop planning to have issues keeping stock for a third Christmas in a row.

If you didn’t know, Thanksgiving is in a couple of days. That’s why this week’s downloadable content update for LittleBigPlanet is far more odd than usual. As a gift to their fans, Media Molecule has developed a slick-looking turkey helmet for your Sackboy. The content is completely free and available via the PlayStation Store this afternoon. We wonder if Sackboy enjoys the splendor of getting first-hand knowledge of turkey anatomy.

The second piece of content is slightly cooler, but will cost you some change. For $1.99, you could be the proud owner of a Resistance 2 Chimera costume. Like we mentioned last week when we caught a glimpse of the costume from a Japanese PSN ad, that helmet looks wicked awesome. It doesn’t have gloves, but it does come with a complete skin change. I read on the Internet somewhere that people enjoy their Sackboys being different colors. This costume will be available at some point this afternoon as well.

My only significant problem with LBP was that Sackboy couldn’t do anything with his teeth. Granted, there are a few striking mouthpieces, but I require more from loveable avatars. I like where Media Molecule is going with the Chimera helmet, but I really wish those fangs were transplanted to Sackboy’s mouth. Make that happen, Media Molecule.
