Eye Candy Recap is a periodically updated feature detailing the latest additions to our Image Galleries.

With the first day of this year’s Tokyo Game Show behind us, it’s time to have a look at the load of new images and screenshots that were released throughout the day. With over twenty updated galleries, there’s new stuff of everything from Street Fighter IV, Ninety Nine Nights 2 and Patapon 2 to Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X., Halo Wars and Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop. A pretty meaty update and should have something for every taste. As usual, full list follows.

One thing’s for sure — Rare knows how to design stuff. That’s a fact that is once again made evident with the new Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts trailer above and the new screenshots in the gallery. This batch of media shows Banjo and Kazooie, as well as some other characters who were caught in front of the camera, hanging out in the Terrorium area and driving around in their crazy contraptions. The game is still looking as colorful as ever and refreshingly unique from anything else we have to look forward to this year.

Last we checked, Nuts and Bolts is still on for an early November launch in the US, Europe and Australia. Japan has to wait until December.

The Gametrailers folks posted a comparison video that pits upcoming Banjo-Kazooie on the Xbox 360 versus old-school Banjo-Kazooie on the N64. After our expert analysis (watching the video) we can attest that the 360 version is nearly identical to the N64 version in terms of content, but has the added benefit of crisper models and a deeper color palette. The other bonus is the replacement of all Nintendo references with Microsoft Game Studios logos. Huzzah!

Whoa, talk about a media overload! GameTrailers currently has a load of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts content from TGS 08, and if you couldn't tell from the title, it's got this Banjo-Kazooie fanboy extremely happy.

In addition to the walk-through above, there are a number of other videos located here, as well as after the break. Perhaps the most interesting tidbit mentioned, at least for me anyway, is that there will in fact be boss battles in Nuts & Bolts.

After watching the videos (specifically the first and fifth ones) you'll either be completely sold on the game or know that it's not your cup of tea.

Many of us at Joystiq are still torn on Rare's upcoming Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, the build-a-bear's-car platformer heavy on vehicle creation. This morning's demo of the game at Xbox Tokyo, steered by Rare's Neill Harrison, once again reinforced our positive appraisal of the game's creative possibilities while leaving this writer as-yet-unconvinced of the game around the toy.

Preaching a message of replayability and open-endedness, Harrison detailed some of the game's "sharing" functionality: Blueprints and replays. Particularly cool vehicles can be shared amongst friends by "gifting" blueprints to them. Spent twelve hours making the absolute perfect jet/boat/car with detachable helicopter and torpedo attachments? Want to share it with Grandma? Gift it to her and go head-to-head in a multiplayer grudge match. Or challenge her to beat your best time in one of the game's Challenge Modes.

TOKYO -- Microsoft will include plenty of anticipated titles, in playable form, at its Tokyo Game Show booth this week, including Square Enix's Star Ocean: The Last Hopeand The Last Remnant, and From Software's "cinematic" action game Ninja Blade.

Not much in terms of Microsoft-published titles, with the focus clearly on showcasing its third-party lineup.

Microsoft will also be releasing trailers online on the Xbox Live Markteplace throughout the week. Below, the complete lineup.
