Xbox 360 download license transfer now available

If you have multiple Xbox 360s or one broke down and you're planning to buy an entirely new one, transferring the content you downloaded on the older unit's hard drive to the new one was impossible with Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection. That's a thing of the past now as Microsoft introduces the License Transfer Tool.

Using the License Transfer Tool is pretty easy. The first thing to do is to transfer the authorized license to the official Xbox site. Second, you download it to the new Xbox 360 and you'll be all set to go.

Finally, we've been cut some slack with software transfer from hard drive to hard drive among Xbox 360s! Nice going, Microsoft!
