Amazon Sells 17 Wiis Per Second Over Holidays
2007-12-26 13:22:22 by Susan Arendt in Game | Life

Nintendowii Wiis were flying off of Amazon.com's virtual shelves as the web site sold 17 per second when the consoles were available during the holiday season. At the moment, Amazon is fresh out, individual sellers have used and new ones for $400 and up.

Customers who blinked and missed their chance to snag a Wii contented themselves with Garmin GPS systems, MacBooks, and those big Kitchen Aid mixers that you see on cooking shows. Those things are awesome.

Other major movers at Amazon included the DVDs of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Planet Earth (I received that as a gift myself, actually), and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
