My advance copy of Mario Kart arrived today from the kind folks at Nintendo Australia, and inside the package is an invitation to join Club Nintendo.

The site at www.club-nintendo.com currently doesn't have an Australian option, but obviously that must be going to change when Mario Kart launches next Thursday because the card clearly states the membership code is exclusive to residents of Australia and New Zealand residents.

Australian Nintendo fans have long envied their overseas cousins who could join the club and swap points earned from the purchase of games and hardware for exclusive Nintendo goodies and Wii points.

Members can also expect news bulletins and special offers.
