A third-party developer called Engine Software have reported that they are working on Project Bang for Nintendo’s WiiWare service, and while this announcement is not really too earth shattering in the realm of gaming news; Engine Software let the proverbial cat out of the bag when during this announcement they stated that WiiWare will launch in March. This, my dear friends, basically means that they have given us a supposed launch date for WiiWare long before Nintendo has had a chance to formally “wow” us with the news themselves.

Project Bang, is a casual game for one and two players which takes advantage of the Wii Remote. The company is also currently at work on two different DS projects 0ne for PlayLogic titled Dragon Quest, and one for Konami titled GoPets: Vacation Island. Although excited about the launch of WiiWare and the hope of having Project Bang completed by the March launch, Engine Software states that there is not a concrete release date as of yet but that Project Bang will appear “early on in the service’s operational status.”

WiiWare was announced last June, and offers developers the opportunity to produce small budget titles for digital download.

GamesIndustry.biz contacted Nintendo for clarification of the WiiWare March launch and as of this post have yet to receive a response, so stay tuned folks.
