Now that Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is out, gamers who haven’t or can’t update their OS can prepare for the Windows XP SP3. The update will be released in two waves this time with language support for wave 2 and 3 now being deployed together. Chinese (Simplified), English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish users can expect an update in late April 2008. Arabic, Chinese (Hong Kong), Chinese (Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Swedish, and Turkish users will have SP3 21 days after Wave 1 deploys.
A note for Windows XP Media Center Edition or Windows XP Tablet Edition systems. There will not be an integrated patch available for either of these version. The only way to download SP3 will be through Windows Update.
