Over the last couple of years I have wanted to buy a digital SLR camera.  However, I have been holding off because of (i) the price and (ii) them not being able to also shoot video.  Finally, the Nikon D90 digital SLR camera will allow you to also shoot video with your digital SLR camera.

The Nikon D90 is scheduled for release at the end of September.  At launch the Nikon D90 digital SLR camera is expected to sell for $1,299 with its lens.  While $1,299 for a digital SLR camera is pretty expensive, I think that the video capabilities make it completely worthwhile.  How great would it be to only have to carry around one device.  My wife and I rarely take videos of our children simply because we don’t have the camcorder with us.

The Nikon D90 will take high definition videos and standard definition videos.  However, you have to be aware that to take high definition videos you needs a ton of space.  You will probably need a storage card with at least 8 gigabytes of memory.

I really think that the Nike D90 digital SLR camera will revolutionize the camera and camcorder industry.  I believe that these digital SLR cameras with the capability of taking videos will seriously reduce the number of camcorders purchased.  I will tell you when I buy my Nike D90 digital SLR camera.  I hope that you enjoyed this Nikon D90 Digital SLR Camera Preview.
