J-Pop Star Bonnie Pink Sings for Tales
2008-04-17 07:50:06 by Jean Snow in Wired: Game|Life

Bonniepink_2 For its upcoming Xbox 360 RPG Tales of Vesperia, Namco Bandai has announced that the theme song is to be recorded both in Japanese and in English by J-pop singer Bonnie Pink.

Each version of the song will accompany the Japanese and North American editions of the game, a first for the series. "Ring a Bell," written and performed by the singer, is already available as a single on iTunes.

If you're wondering how well she'll be able to handle the English version, Bonnie Pink lived in the U.S. back in the nineties, and some of her Japanese albums includes entire songs in English.

Pink made her name in the late nineties and early 2000s in the indie scene -- back when she still had pink hair -- and then completely disappeared for a few years. Then, in 2006, she had a massive hit on the J-pop charts with a song called "A Perfect Sky."
